FixQuote ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps repair professionals build estimates. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
We do not collect browsing history, page content beyond what you explicitly add to an estimate, or any financial information.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data is stored in two places:
chrome.storage.local API on your device. This data stays on your machine unless you sign in and enable sync.You can use FixQuote without creating an account. In guest mode, all data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers.
FixQuote requests the following Chrome permissions:
We only read page content when you actively interact with the extension on a supported site. We do not monitor your browsing activity passively.
Both services are operated by Google and subject to Google's privacy policies.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your data at any time by contacting us at the email below. Local data can be cleared by removing the extension from Chrome.
FixQuote is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
